KMS Bosch IACV

Key Features:
- Supports both single and dual coil Idle Air Control Valves (IACV)
- compatible single coil valves:
- Bosch 0280140514
- Bosch 0280140531
- Porsche 94460616000
- Porsche 96460616000
- compatible dual coil valves:
- Bosch 0280140543
- Porsche 99360616000
- compatible single coil valves:
- Allows the engine to idle at higher target RPMs at lower engine temperatures. Multiple target RPMs can be set for different temperature ranges.
- Smoother engine startup. To make the engine start smoother the IACV is partially openend as soon CAN data is available. For single coil valves this avoids the valve moving from the fall back(off) position to closed position and active open position. For dual coil valves this already opens the valve speeding up the process.
- Smoother fall back from high revs to idle. In ECT Map and Closed Loop mode the IACV is not closed above idle control range, but set to ECT map value. This makes fallback from higher revs to idle control much smoother.
- Prevents vibrating/rattling. The controller breaks up larger changes into smaller steps to prevent solenoid valve from vibrating/rattling.
- 2nd throttle function, like the original Porsche ECU by opening the IACV at higher revs and throttle position.
- Adjusts for when the airco-conditioning is turned on.
- Supply sufficient current to IACV.
- Connects to KMS ECUs through CAN bus.
- iPhone App shows ECU data and controller data. Optionally functionality can be unlocked to manage advanced controller settings.

Modes
The controller supports 3 operation modes:
- ECU mode (default). In this mode idle value from ECU is used to set the idle value output. Maps the full ECU idle range from 0% to 100% to actual valve position, making it easier to program the ECU without worrying about the fallback (offset) position.
- ECT map mode. This mode uses map of engine temperature and idle out to set idle valve.
- Closed Loop mode. In this mode the ECT map is extended with a target RPM. Allowing the engine to run higher idle RPM at lower temperatures

KMS ECU Settings
- External dashboard must be enabled (CAN speed is autodetected).
- Solenoid Frequency. Can be ignored. Frequency is controlled by the Idle Controller.
- ECU mode only:
- Idle Valve %. Full range from 500-1250rpm be used to input values from 0% (fully closed) to 100% (fully open). Usually values above 50% are only needed at low revs (<800).
- Idle corrections for engine temperature and airconditioning can be used as usual.
